Formerly known as Dynamite Dancers, Nelson School of Dance is one of Nelson B.C.’s most diverse dance studios that explores the technique, movement and music behind contemporary and classical dance styles. Studio Owner and Dance Instructor, Karin Palinka intends to lead her dancers through all platforms of dance and performing arts; building dancers knowledge, repertoire, experience in performance and assisting with personal development, Nelson School of Dance provides aspiring dancers of all ages and genders with the opportunity to explore their creativity through the understanding of dance etiquette.
Offering classes in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Hip-Hop, Creative Dance, Tiny Tot classes and adult classes, Nelson School of Dance provides dancers with the utmost diversity in dance education. Through the teaching and learning of different dance genres does this training assist dancers in building a stronger self of self and a stronger passion for the art of dance.
Through Nelson School of Dance’s most recent initiatives in working to further educate children, teens and adults about dance history and movement by adding dance classes into public school systems; the outcome of these initiatives resulting in further expanding on the school’s ability to better educate and train young aspiring dancers.

Miss Karin graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in their Contemporary Dance Program. Miss Karin has received advanced standings in Checcetti Ballet, CDTA Jazz Technique and Limon Modern Technique. Her achievements have taken her as a professional dancer, having danced and taught across Canada.
Miss Karin has been teaching within the area over the past 14 years and within the past three years has been focusing on encouraging dance education throughout local education institutes.
Miss Karin’s vision behind the Nelson School of Dance is to further educate and inspire dancers through movement and music. The Nelson School of Dance will provide children, adults and teens with an opportunity for self-exploration and the space to enhance one’s self confidence.
A mother of four children ages 3-9, Miss Karin encourages and introduces her sons and daughter to the dance world, helping to develop their self confidence and personal growth. Having a family and developing dance school within Nelson, Miss Karin finds inspiration through her love for dance and her love for her family.
